France Rocks SummerFest continues with Fete de la Musique today in Central Park SummerStage

People from all corners of the world like to call New York home, and France Rocks Summerfest is a wonderful effort at bridging the gap of eclectic music appreciation. Sponsored by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, France Rocks Summerfest is a festival hitting New York City and Brooklyn this summer, with a variety of French Artists taking the stage at some of New York’s premier locations to showcase some of France’s noteworthy musical artists.

As part of this ongoing cultural celebration, various concerts are occurring throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn throughout June and July, with bigger artists like Pheonix and Air even performing at New York’s Governers Ball Music Festival, bringing their music to a larger audience.

The culminating event of France Rocks, La Fête de la Musique, occurs today  at Central Park’s Summer Stage. Artists Wax Tailor, Her, Ayo and Ala.ni are coming together to perform a free concert for all to appreciate.

Wax Tailor will stun you with a fusion of electronic and old-school music paired with tantalizing video projections to accompany his performance.  Enjoy the music of Her, a male duo whose music is inspired by the feminine perspective, and female influences in their lives.

Whether you’re familiar with popular French artists or are just looking to indulge yourselves,   Fête de la Musique is a free summer event you won’t want to miss.  ”
