The Love Experiment is a NYC-based future-soul collective led by drummer, composer, and producer Charles “Blvk Samurai” Burchell. Formed in Boston, MA in 2010, the band has performed around the United States for the last six years, sharing the stage with artists such as Talib Kweli, Iman Omari, Mad Satta, Si * Se, Retro Stefson, Nesby Phips, and many more. They quickly gained a cult following throughout the Northeast by performing at house parties, art galleries, and venues such as Webster Hall, The Bitter End, Emerson University, Bennington College, Berklee College of Music, and The Middle East. In addition to performing at well-known venues, the band has a history of throwing secret parties, which have helped them build a niche audience in New York City.
They’re celebrating their debut album self-titled.
