Iconic frontman Colin Blunstone of The Zombies announces W.Coast Solo Dates!

He’ll be touring with Al Stewart and The Empty Pockets.

For the US run, Blunstone will be bringing along an “all-star” lineup of musicians, including two of his current Zombies’ bandmates: Steve Rodford on drums and Søren Koch (switching from his bass role to lead guitar) - plus two former members of the legendary Progressive-Rock band Strawbs: Chas Cronk on bass and Dave Bainbridge on keyboards.  Although these shows will give Blunstone the chance to explore his 6-decade catalog as a solo artist, he will still carry on The Zombies’ legacy by singing their hits “because people want to hear them and I enjoy playing them.”

Legendary Athens, GA Pop Punk Band Five Eight gearing up to release much anticipated new song.

“Take Me To The Skate Park”.

PreSave HERE

“Take Me to the Skate Park” is Five Eight’s First official single in 6 years it is a raw and urgent anthem about escape, longing, and the struggle between a father and son caught in the grip of addiction. The song tells the story of a kid desperate to get to the skate park his refuge, his freedom while his father remains stuck in a cycle of alcoholism. The frustration builds until the son imagines a future where he has his own car, picks up his friends, and leaves his father’s endless talk behind. It’s a plea to be taken seriously, a wish for independence, and a realization that no one can take us where we need to go we have to get there ourselves.

To capture the spirit of the song, Five Eight staged a guerrilla-style video shoot at the Skatepark of Athens (SPoA), coinciding with its 20th anniversary. With no major announcement, the band set up a generator, powered a PA system, and played a five-song set for whoever happened to be there skaters riding as they normally would, no staged tricks, just the authentic energy of the park. Athens photographer Jason Thrasher, known for his work documenting the citys music scene, immediately recognized the songs power, insisting that it needed a video directs it,

They’re on a Southeast Tour with shows and film screenings of ‘Weirdo: The Story of Five Eight’ leading up to SXSW and beyond.

Markets include Atlanta, Orlando, Gainesville, Birmingham, New Orleans, Houston and Austin.
