SOULNIC Festival 2026

Sixteen years after a group of friends turned a day of dancing in the park into something much bigger, SOULNIC Music Festival returns for its Sweet 16 celebration on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Grand Hope Park in downtown Los Angeles.

The intimate, family-friendly event will fill the park with soulful house, disco, and global dance rhythms from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with gates opening at 9 a.m. The day will also feature food, fashion, art, local vendors and the welcoming, multigenerational spirit that has made SOULNIC one of Los Angeles’ distinctive summer traditions.

Performers include Brooklyn DJ and UPLIFTED founder Bridge; SOULNIC cofounder and international DJ Drack Muse; acclaimed rapper, singer, drummer and DJ Lyric Jones; Caribbean-born host and master of ceremonies KG SuperStar; Los Angeles DJ and producer Nico; and Cquer, creator of the percussion-rich Dharmic Soul Sessions. 

More than a festival, SOULNIC is a reimagining of the family reunion; one built around a shared dance floor.  In an era when many cultural gatherings have become increasingly commercial and disconnected from their neighborhoods, SOULNIC offers a different model. It is an event created for the community and sustained by the community - part dance party, part family reunion and part living classroom in the power of music to preserve history, affirm identity and create belonging.

That community-centered spirit has defined SOULNIC since its founding in 2010. Inspired by the joyful summer park gatherings its founders experienced in Chicago, the festival was created to offer Los Angeles families and friends a safe, uplifting place to connect through music. The original community picnic has since grown into a celebrated destination for thousands of dancers, families and music lovers from Los Angeles and beyond..

SOULNIC welcomes families, longtime supporters and first-time attendees for a full day of music and dancing beneath the trees. Its multigenerational audience comes together around a musical program spanning classic and gospel house, disco, Afro and Latin house, jazz, soul and R&B - creating an inclusive experience in which the community is as central as the artists onstage
